Gail vacationed on Block Island as a child, due to her father's family ties, moved to the Island as a young adult, and then became a year round resident in 1984.

Gail obtained her Real Estate License in January of 1985, hired by Phelan Real Estate.  She became their Broker Associate and Rentals Manager in 1987 and continued to work for the Phelan's for a total of 12 years. Gail launched Ballard Hall Real Estate in October of 1997.  She then purchased Phelan Real Estate in December of 2000.  The business has grown due to the longevity of her relationship with the Phelan's and her staff who have joined along the way.

Gail then merged Ballard Hall Real Estate with Offshore Property LLC. Together they created Ballard Hall Sales Group. Ballard Hall Sales Group now dedicates their time to listing and selling property and referring clients to agents across the globe. They transitioned from rental management so they could focus solely on property transactions and building relationships on a more concentrated level.

Gail has enjoyed becoming a part of the community.  She is currently Vice Chair of the Planning Board, continues to serve as Treasurer on the Fred Benson Scholarship Committee, and is a member of The Block Island Lions Club. Gail is also emeritus Trustee to the Rhode Island Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, served as a Director of The Block Island Conservancy, and was Chair to the Board of Canvassers.

Gail and her family truly enjoy their life on Block Island along with grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.  She loves to travel with her husband Geoff and son Griffen, and upon the return of each trip recognize their comfort in the fact that this is the place they have chosen to call home.
